Why did the laminate flooring installed on ceramic tile crack?

First, try to remember if the ceramic tile is flat or there is some breakdown on the tiles before the laminate flooring is installed. The thickness of laminate is just between 8 millimeters and 12 millimeters. The planks may crack when they are stepped on if the ceramic tile is not flat or there is some breakdown on the tiles.

Second, check the thickness of the underlay. It is suitable for the underlay to over 3 millimeters. If the underlay is too thick, too much bounce is required for laminate flooring, which will cause its cracking when the planks suffer heavy traffic.

Third, check the ceramic tile to see if there is water there. Wet laminate flooring planks will also crack if too much water enters its core.
