Can laminate flooring be restored?
December 24, 2010 – 1:43 amLaminate flooring can not be restored due to the following reasons.
1. It consists of four layers which are processed with heavy pressure and high temperature during the production. It is very difficult to get the same temperature and pressure to restore one or several planks if they are broken.
2. It is very hard to get the same color if some part of the design layer is broken. Also the color paper needs to be dipped in melamine for some time before it is processed with high temperature and strong pressure. And it is very difficult to get it done if you want the broken laminate flooring to be restored.
3. If laminate flooring is broken by water and become warped, it is almost impossible to restore even the best way has been used to dry the planks.
Also the cost is too much even if laminate flooring can be restored by high temperature, strong pressure, melamine and drying equipment.
