The designs of laminate flooring can be dividened into 1-strip, 2-strip, 3-strip and multi-strip. 3 strip and muli-strip are suitable for big width such as 194mm and 297mm. 1-strip and 2-strip are suitable for little width such as 90mm, 128mm, 143mm and 163mm. For the purpose of hardwood like appearance, 1-strip design is the most suitable as hardwood only has 1-strip. Natural color is also necessary for the purpose. For example, blue cherry is not suitable. It is easy to find that laminate having this color is not like hardwood. The design is strong fading resistant because AL2O3, the first layer of laminate, is very good at refecting ray.

Rough surface includes big embossed surface, middle embossed finish, little embossed finish and feather grain finish. Laminate flooring with rough surface is strong skid resistant. The difference among the 3 types of embossed finishes is the sizes of embossment. You can see this from their name. Embossment makes the surface artisitc. Feather grain finish is something like numerous orderly little ear. It is an antique imitation type. Feather grain and big embossed finshes looks especially beautiful with big width such as 297mm. But the surfaces sometime will affect the look of the design. Rough finish also reduce the antiwearing turns of the abrasion resistance layer.

The first type just has the color of ceramic tile on the decorative paper which is the second layer of laminate. Its figure is still rectangle: 1214*194mm or 1214*297mm. The second type is a bit complicated. Its design is made up of 4 square tile colors for each plank. The dimensions of each square color are around 297*297mm. This type is much more like ceramic tile due to the 4 square colors per plank . Ceramic tile like lamiante offers better foot feel. It is suitable for some pulic indoor place.

2. Contact near laminate manufacturers directly if your order quantity is big. The prices from manufacturers are usually lower than that of the store. It will save the transport fee if you buy from near manufacturer. Abroad customers also can buy from China manufacturers if the price including ocean freight, import tax and other extra cost is still cheap. The quality of the product from China manufacturer is not bad. The core

Core is the support material and main part laminate flooring. The main quality of laminate is decided with the core. The parameters of swelling rate, core density and height difference is up to or have close relation with core. It hass two kinds of color: green and brown. Many people don’t know the difference between them. Someone even believes green core is more environmentally friendly. In fact, they almost have the same performance if their material and production process are the same. There is just some moisture resistant content added in green core. So green core is more damp resistant.

It can penetrate the wooden fiber at the locking system quickly duiring production. So its character of strong moisture resistance can be improved a great deal after the process. Laminate flooring has close relationship with furniture. The whole room will not look beautiful if the coor of laminate doesn’t work well with that of furniture. So it is very important to match their colors well. Regarding metal furniture, it will be better if plastic or wooden pad is used on the bottom to protect floor. Although laminate is strong abrasion resistant, sharp metal pipe will make marks on it or even damage the surface. It will be better put furniture on floor after 24 hours since installation. The locking system need time to work well wiht each other. For some especiall heavy furniture such as piano, it will be better not to pull it on floor. Floor with some standard such as AC1 can’t bear the scratch and pressure of especially heavy furniture.

End cap is an important accessories for laminate flooring. It is used for the end of floor. It has two shapes: “7″ type and “F” type. The sizes of “7″ is much smaller than “F”. There is a plastic strip under “F” type. Accordingly “F” type can bear more pressure and show more decorative design. It has complete color at the corner. So it looks more beautiful. But ”F” type is more expensive as it cost more materials. End cap can work with various colors. The color are often the same with neighouring laminate flooring to have get better decorative affect. Its abrasion resistance is AC1, AC2, AC3, AC4 and AC5. Its lenth is usually 2.4m.
